Accessibility

StillDeck is designed with comfort and readability as priorities. Every default has been chosen to be accessible from the start.

Comfort Settings

Open the in-game settings panel to adjust these options:

  • Card size — four sizes from small to extra large
  • Text size — adjust for readability
  • High contrast — stronger visual clarity for text and UI
  • Reduced motion — disables all animations
  • Larger controls — bigger tap targets for easier interaction
  • Stronger highlights — bolder outlines on selected cards
  • Minimal layout — removes decorative card elements

Keyboard Navigation

Control buttons are reachable with Tab and Shift+Tab and activate with Enter or Space. Keyboard shortcuts: U to undo, H for a hint, R to restart, and F for fullscreen.

Moving cards between piles is currently pointer-based (mouse, touch, or trackpad). Full keyboard play for card moves is on our roadmap but not yet available — if that is a barrier for you, please reach out and we will help.

Screen Readers

All controls are labeled with descriptive text. Game actions and state changes are communicated through ARIA attributes. The interface uses semantic HTML throughout.

Motion Sensitivity

StillDeck respects the prefers-reduced-motion system setting automatically. You can also enable reduced motion manually in the comfort settings for finer control.
